Silver Efex Pro 2: No problem experienced I tested the Nik Collection apps that I normally use and this was the results I got.

The version of DxO Nik Collection I am using is Nik Collection 3 the 25th Anniversary Edition. I am using Affinity Photo 1.9.0 on Mac mini M1, BigSur 11.2, 16GB Memory, 1TB HD it can hardly be considered as a Google Nik's problem, but sooner an Affinity Photo issue after all. Viveza 2 by Google is functioning absolutely nice also. But not with Affinity Photo. They're not freshest ones, but haden't completely fallen behind. The old Google Nik plugins work absolutely fine with Photoshop as plug-ins also in standalone app mode even under 11.3 Beta (20E5172i) of macOS Big Sur.

I don't know, as yet, if tech support at either/both Affinity Photo or DxO are aware but my guess would be that the crashes will flag up problems? Sigh, I guess its going to be another of those software updates that ripples through other programmes until we've updated them all. However.īogdan - Since the latest update on Big Sur (11.2), I'm also getting problems with Viveza, it doesn't work right on opening (no labels on each parameter setting, for example) but then goes on to promptly crash Affinity Photo anyway. So, I suspect you may need to head to DxO.com and upgrade on the Nik Collection. The Nik collection was then sold to DxO who upgraded and updated it. When Google bought the Nik collection, they did nothing with it so it had fallen behind in IT terms. It’s available to download now from here.Yvon - I think you're problems start with using the (old) Google version. Discounted prices of £86.99 and £49.99 are available until 30 June. However, it brings a hefty price rise: Nik Collection 2 will cost £125, or £69 for those upgrading from DxO’s 2018 version.

This should please those who dislike the subscription model of paying for software. This provides direct support for camera raw files, meaning users no longer have to employ Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom as the host program. The biggest change, however, is that Nik Collection 2 now comes bundled with DxO’s own raw processing software, PhotoLab 2.3 Essential Edition. Meanwhile, Windows users with high-resolution monitors should also find the graphic user interface much easier to use, thanks to the addition of HiDPI support. Together they form the ‘En Vogue’ collection, with 10 each available in Color Efex Pro, Silver Efex Pro and Analog Efex Pro, and 12 in HDR Efex Pro. Nik Collection 2 from DxO comes with several key updates, including 42 new presets that bring the total number to 198.

After acquiring the Nik Collection of creative image-processing plug-ins from Google in 2017, DxO has launched its first major upgrade.
